Retelling Fairy Tales

We have been reading about fairy tales and then we retold them using Photo Booth on the laptop.

We then spoke about how to make about how to make our videos better and we thought we needed to -speak clearly
-stay still
-look at the camera
-speak louder
-remember what we are going to say
-try not to laugh

Then we had another go at retelling our fairy tales.

Stone Soup

The students in my groups have been working on creating their own versions of the story Stone Soup". We changed some of the ingredients that go into the soup. Some of the different ingredients that we though of were pancakes, strawberries, mushrooms, lemons and broccoli. We thought the ingredients would make for a funny story but wouldn't taste very nice if we really put them in a soup.

Making Instruments

The students in Room 12 have been collecting junk material to make musical instruments as part of our "Sounds Sensational" Science topic. We had to make sure that our instruments had a part that vibrated and this was the part that would make the sound. We had lots of fun making our instruments.

The Rainbow Fish
When learning about Getting Along one of our 5 Keys to Success, we read the story "The Rainbow Fish" written by Marcus Pfister. It is a story about getting along and friendships. We then made these stunning rainbow fish in Art.

Sounds Sensational

Sounds Sensational
During Science we learnt about vibrations and that our lips vibrate when we speak to make sound. We talked on to a balloon to feel the vibrations in our lips. We also felt the vibrations on our throats when we talked.
